Disposals do happen. Two documented compulsory acquisitions were made for public projects. Most of the 2010-11 custodianship-lift applications were owners selling their own property, to Greek Cypriot buyers or to the state. No case has been located of the Guardian selling property on its own initiative. No terms of any disposal are published.12
