Facts
Oz Karahan stood as a candidate on the Movement of Ecologists' Nicosia-constituency list in the 24 May 2026 parliamentary election, reported to be the first Turkish Cypriot to do so since 1963. The Ministry of Interior's official declared-results roster of elected members, published 8 June 2026, does not list Karahan, nor any Movement of Ecologists' candidate, as elected for Nicosia or any other constituency.
